What is coaching?

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the leading accrediting organization for coaching and coaches define coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership." (Source: ICF)Often we are faced with difficult decisions in our roles as leaders, and even as people in general, in relationships, academics, and life. We are faced with all sorts of decsions and the feeling of being stuck can be quite common, yet the answer are right in front of us. Coaches work with you so that you can discovery those answers.

Coaching is different from other types of counseling because we believe the answer is in you rather that in our expertise. You know yourself and your situation better than us. Unlike a mentor or a traditional coach, we do not have answer. Rather, through coaching, we can help you discover what is your next move.

Who we are

We are UC Davis alumni and love to work with college students because we know this is a pivotal and important season of life for you. We were college students like yourself and we know the kind of challeges you face, everything from family and relationships, financial, academics to leadership and career decisions. We have been working with college students for the past 10+ years as college student mentors with a campus Christian ministry. We would love to be a part of your life journey regardless of your religious background or faith.
